Take a Break
Did you know that April is recognized as National Stress Awareness Month? Managing stress is an essential component of a healthy lifestyle. Knowing how to manage stress can improve mental and physical well-being as well as minimize exacerbation of health-related issues. Simple acts like taking small breaks throughout the day can have a big impact. Every day SCI helps relieve stress for the people we support by providing supportive resources and information through our Supports Planning Program (SPS). Cassandra expresses her thoughts on how her Supports Planner, Shriya alleviated her stress by advocating on her behalf for the services she needed.
“My experience of working with Shriya has been excellent! She has done everything I asked for, be it regarding the services or giving me resources or advocating for me with the Maryland Department of Health. Shriya worked relentlessly to get my Medicaid Eligibility issue resolved and kept me updated as the case progressed. She finally got it done and I started receiving my services,” said Cassandra.
