SCI Organizational News – October
New Western Region Program Manager
We are excited to announce that Marci Meredith has been selected to serve as the new Western Region Program Manager for the DDA/TCM program. Marci has worked in the developmental disabilities field for 28 years and has been with Service Coordination for 23 of those years. (Fun fact: Marci was hired for an expansion position in Carroll County (1996), bringing that office to a grand total of 4 SCs which allowed that office to get a second desktop computer; there are now 18 SCs in Carroll County, all with mobile equipment and the ability to work in the community…how far we have come as an organization!) Marci has served as a Carroll County supervisor for much of her tenure, with time also spent in several other leadership roles. She is a member of SCI’s DDA Case Management committee (and several CMC sub-committees) and the Web Committee; in addition, she has been a taskforce member in the development of several of SCI’s Strategic Plans (2007, 2009, 2016, 2019). She serves as a member of the Carroll County Community Service Council and Change Agents group. Marci will begin her new role on 9/29/2019.
New Program Manager – Howard County
We are very pleased to announce that Nicole Smalley has been promoted to the Program Manager position in our DDA/TCM program effective Oct 7, 2019! She will oversee the Howard County and Pikesville catchments. Nicole is a member of SCI’s Learning and Growth and Retention Committee and Supervisor Procedures group; in addition, she has been a taskforce member in the development and implementation of the Peer Mentoring Program, rolling out the program to the organization in December 2018. She has also been a part of SCI’s Strategic Plans (2016 and 2019) and serves as a member of the Anne Arundel County Transitioning Youth Group.
New Supervising Service Coordinators
We are pleased to announce that Samantha Norris and Melanie Brown have both been promoted to the position of DDA/TCM Supervisor. Samantha, who has been a Service Coordinator since September of 2014, begins her new position in Howard County on 9/30/19. Melanie, who has been a Service Coordinator since November of 2015, begins in Perry Hall on 10/3/19. You may have gotten to work with them over the past few years as both have been involved in a number of agency wide initiatives.
