“Thank you for prioritizing people, anticipating their needs and your impeccable communication. We are so lucky to have you on the team!” – Jamie, SCI’s Senior Vice President of Coordination of Community Services
SCI’s very own Service Coordinator Nick received numerous praises from SCI Team Members and even our community partner from the Developmental Disabilities Administration for his fantastic contributions.
“THANK YOU for your passion and dedication to the individuals we support,” said Marcia, SCI’s Western Region Program Manager. “You are VERY appreciated.”
Nick has been with SCI for nearly 11 years and reflected on what being a Service Coordinator means to him.
“Personally, it means building, fostering and forging relationships with individuals who, in time, will have as much confidence in me as one can have,” he said. “I want there to be no doubt in the minds of the individuals I work for in my reliability, skills, and abilities to do my job well. It’s also my top priority, for each individual I work for, to achieve the highest level of happiness and fullness in their day-to-day lives.”
Nick also described what makes SCI and our Coordination of Community Services (CCS) program impactful, considering there have been so many changes in the community in the past few years.
“Some programs have closed completely, others aren’t able to find enough staff to be able to take referrals, etc. SCI has been pivotal in finding alternative methods and service delivery solutions that ensure individuals remain active in our community and can mold their daily lives into whatever they want,” he said.
“Adapting to the changes and being creative with the available resources has been a huge strength in terms of SCI.”
Nick is proud of CCS’s incredible work.
“I feel that myself, as well as my fellow CCSs, have done a tremendous job of ensuring our community members have been able to stay active and experience as much as possible in our surrounding area. I’m very confident that I work with the best team in the agency,” he said.
