More About UMKC
At Service Coordination, we are committed to providing quality case management. And over the decades, we’ve remained a leading provider. We’ve been able to impact thousands of lives by focusing on transformative services and resources that support people and families of all abilities and ages as they develop and achieve a vision for their ideal life.
We remain devoted to the important work we do each day — and we always will. At SCI, we’re not content to simply provide services and resources. We are dedicated to inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility and will continually improve service delivery and systems to create A World for Everyone.
One way we’re doing this is through our partnership with the UMKC-Institute for Human Development and its Charting the LifeCourse principles. This partnership allows us to implement innovative strategies and drive person-centered change for older adults, people with disabilities or complex medical needs, and others who would benefit from services but are not receiving them, as well as their families.
Previously, we’ve discussed how we utilize these principles to improve the quality of life for the entire family as we continue to build a world that supports people as they pursue their ideal life.
We’re thrilled to be able to team up with UMKC-IHD. The school’s initiatives address the needs of under-supported and unserved populations, including those from racially and ethnically diverse backgrounds, rural areas, and low-income communities, and its Charting the LifeCourse principles are making a real impact when it comes to enhancing person-centered practices and policies.
By working with UMKC-IHD, we can ensure that SCI will remain at the forefront of case management in Maryland and beyond. Creating A World for Everyone isn’t easy, and it can’t be done alone — but by working with organizations such as UMKC-IHD, we can get that much closer to achieving our goals and helping our community.
We will continue to share stories of our transformative work. Keep checking this blog — or sign up for our newsletter and follow us on our social media at Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn — to make sure you’re among the first to see the news.
